TITLE: Police seek woman's missing belongings
WHEN: She was last seen on the days June 9 and June 10.  Was found found 26 June
WHO: Police, Barbra Moko, the public

WHERE: She was found near Omanaia area near Revere.  And the body was discovered near Tipitti near Marae.    

WHAT:  Police are looking for personal effects of Northland woman Barbra Moko.  The police have found a body believed to be 30-32 year old Barbra Moko was last seen in the Omanaia area near Revere on Wednesday 26 June.  The body was discovered near Te Pitti Marae where Ms Moko was seen 2 weeks ago.  

WHY or HOW it happened:  
Police are still finding out what has happened to Barbara Moko.

TITLE: Weather worries: Residents urged to stay indoors

WHEN: 12:44 PM Wednesday June 19, 2013

WHO: People down the South island and the forecasters.

WHERE: Christchurch, south island, Otago, Marlborough, central North island.

WHAT:  All the people down the South island  urged to stay indoors as there are terrible winter storms throughout the south island.  They are being warned to have food supplies, to keep warm, and to stay indoors.

WHY or HOW it happened: They are aware of weather reports.

TITLE: Seven christchurch schools to close.  

WHEN: February 19 2013

WHO: Seven Christchurch schools, affects around 670 children.
The schools are: Branston Intermediate, Glenmoor, Greenpark, Kendal, Linwood Intermediate, Manning Intermediate and Richmond.


WHERE:  The schools are in Christchurch: Branston Intermediate, Glenmoor, Greenpark, Kendal, Linwood Intermediate, Manning Intermediate and Richmond. In Christchurch.


WHAT: The Government has announced that seven Christchurch schools will close and twelve more will merge as a result of the 2011 earthquake. The schools were told by Education Minister Hekia Parata that they will have to close by the start of the next school year.


WHY or HOW it happened:  This was a result of the 2011 earthquake.

TITLE: Bangladesh building disaster death toll over 800

WHEN: 24 April 2013


WHO: Over 800 people in Bangladesh

WHERE: In  Bangladesh

WHAT: Over 800 people have died and 2,500 survived after a clothing factory collapsed in  Bangladesh.  The police have said the number of dead people will increases in the next couple of days. The building was eight stories high when it fell.  

WHY or HOW it happened: The factory had not been designed to handle heavy industrial equipment it was designed as a shopping mall.  What also had been discovered that there were three floors that had been added to the building illegally.
What do you think the author wanted you to learn from this article? That you should not add anything that you're not supposed to add to a building and it could be unsafe.

TITLE: Kiwi nurse awarded highest honour for aid work

WHEN: In 2004-2005 she worked in Indonesia in the aftermath of the Boxing Day Tsunami, that was followed by missions to Sudan in 2007-2008, Iraq in 2009-2010, and Sudan also in 2010-2012.


WHO: Janet Askew, and all of the people who had to suffer who was in pain, that she helped.

WHERE: She is a New Zealand nurse that went around the the world to help people. She worked in Indonesia, went to Sudan, and also in Iraq.

WHAT: Janet Askew has been awarded the medal by the International Committee of the Red Cross for her work on aid missions in Sudan, Indonesia and Iraq.  This year 32 aid workers throughout the world will get given the Florence Nightingale Medal. Ms Askew is the 26th New Zealander to receive the award.

WHY or HOW it happened: She wanted to help these people by traveling around the world to care for them and take care of them to make them better.
